Summer Bereavement

Summer can be an especially challenging time for those dealing with bereavement. The season's vibrant energy and focus on outdoor activities can starkly contrast with the feelings of loss and sadness that accompany grief. While others may be enjoying vacations and holiday gatherings, those grieving may find themselves feeling isolated and overwhelmed by emotions. It is important for individuals experiencing summer bereavement to seek support from loved ones, professional counselors, or support groups to navigate this difficult time and find moments of solace amidst their sorrow.

Life's Journey Hospice provides various bereavement resources aimed at aiding individuals and families as they navigate the challenging process of coping with the passing of a loved one. These resources encompass a wide array of offerings such as grief counseling, supportive group sessions, informative materials, and the facilitation of connections to external community support entities. Our committed team of experts is focused on delivering empathetic assistance and direction throughout the grieving period. Whether an individual is grappling with intense feelings or seeking a compassionate listener, our bereavement resources are structured to assist and accompany individuals through their mourning voyage within a comforting and empathetic setting.

Life's Journey Hospice is pleased to announce a new 5-week education and support group aimed at providing assistance throughout the grief journey. This program is designed to offer tools and guidance to navigate the challenging emotions that often accompany loss. Participants can expect a safe and supportive environment to share their experiences and learn coping strategies. Please contact our team for more information on how to enroll in this upcoming group.

This is open to the public and will be held every Friday in August from 10:00-11:30 am at the Hendricks County Senior Center in Danville.
